If Huntersville doesn’t have it, then you will find your desired activity nearby, either on Lake Norman or Downtown Charlotte. Shopping, Restaurants, Parks, Pools, Golf, Pro Sports, NASCAR… you name it.

Where can I play Golf in Huntersville

Posted by jsdavisnc on December 19th, 2007

nor.jpgSome of the best golf is in North Carolina. We can play year round, with some January and Feburary days reaching the 70’s. My favorites in Huntersville are Northstone (private),
Skybrook (semi-private)

and Birkdale. If you are interested in specifics email me at jeffdavisrealty@aol.com.

Where should I live in Huntersville?

Posted by jsdavisnc on December 19th, 2007

There are over 70 subdivisions in Huntersville, which is makes it impossible to detail the features and amenities of each. The planning board is promoting the development of multi-use neighborhoods with mixed housing, shops, restaurants, entertainment and parks integrated into the plan. The purpose is to create small villages that localize traffic and reduce stress on the major roads. One of the more popular multi-use developments is Birkdale Village. What is the commute to Charlotte from Huntersville like?

Posted by jsdavisnc on December 19th, 2007

The commute has improved since the widening of I-77. There are delays in the morning and afternoon that can change the drive time from 15 minutes to 30 minutes. Traffic tends to flow a little better toward Charlotte because the lanes widen after exit 23 and an HOV lane was added at exit 18. Coming north in the afternoon often slows to a snail’s pace as lanes narrow at exit 23.

A new interchange for I-485 will open soon just north of exit 18. The jury is still out on what impact this will make on relieving or stressing the current traffic patterns.

I would love to hear more comments from the locals on this topic. Email your thoughts to jeffdavisrealty@aol.com

What about traffic and roads in Huntersville?

Posted by jsdavisnc on December 19th, 2007

Huntersville suffers from the typical pains of any fast growing city. When a street widens, it often reveals a new bottleneck. The town planners just published a transportation study, which can be viewed at the Huntersville Town Website. .

Most traffic collects at exits 23 and 25 off of Interstate 77. These areas become very congested during rush hours, but it is relatively manageable as compared to other major thoroughfares in the area. Email your thoughts to jeffdavisrealty@aol.com

Where can I find info on Huntersville’s Parks & Rec.?

Posted by jsdavisnc on December 19th, 2007

The best information I have found is at the Huntersville web site. They recently opened a new Parks & Rec. Facility on Statesville Road. You can find out about the available parks, as well as, future park plans at the Huntersville Parks Website. Contact me if you have any specific questions at jeffdavisrealty@aol.com
