Where should I live in Huntersville?
Posted by jsdavisnc on December 19th, 2007
There are over 70 subdivisions in Huntersville, which is makes it impossible to detail the features and amenities of each. The planning board is promoting the development of multi-use neighborhoods with mixed housing, shops, restaurants, entertainment and parks integrated into the plan. The purpose is to create small villages that localize traffic and reduce stress on the major roads. One of the more popular multi-use developments is Birkdale Village. I live in Wynfield which connects to 4 major subdivisions, totaling about 2000 homes. They are Wynfield, Winfield Creek, Wynfield Forest, McAuley Farms and Birkdale. Birkdale is on a beautiful semi private golf course. McAuley is the newest of the four with home prices ranging from the mid $200’s to $600K+

Birkdale Village represents a new kind of neighborhood for the area. This development integrates residential living with shops, restaurants and entertainment. The main boulevard is lined with boutiques and popular clothing store chains. Condos are above the shops and perimeter streets have Craftsman style houses.

NorthStone is another golf course community in Hunstersville that has homes ranging in value from the upper 200’s to the mid 500’s. The Clubhouse is one of the larger facilities in the area with a banquet facility for up to 200 guests. It is very popular for weddings. The restaurant is one of the best in the area.
